Education

2009-ongoing   PhD in Linguistics at the University of Pavia. Research project focussed on the study of word-formation processes used in European languages to mark reflexivity in the lexicon.

2008-2009       Member of the scientific committee (on behalf of Professor Anna Giacalone Ramat) of the project "Normalizzazione delle grafie delle parlate walser di Piemonte e Valle d'Aosta" concerned with the standardization of the writing systems of the seven surviving Walser German speaking communities in West-Northern Italy.

November 2006-June 2007 Formative training by Loquendo S.p.A., speech technology company based in Turin. Activity: analysis of the pausing strategies in the reading a newspaper corpus to improve the speech synthesis of German; evaluation of the POS-tagging obtained via an existent German morphological analyzer trained on the CELEX corpus.

2005-2008 MA in Scienze Linguistiche (Linguistics), University of Turin.  Title of the thesis: Composizione e parasintesi negli aggettivi in tedesco: i tipi rotwangig, salzhaltig, risikofreudig in un corpus Web (Compounding and parasinthesis in German adjectives: the types rotwangig,  salzhaltig, risikofreudig in a Web-corpus). Advisor: Prof. Davide Ricca. Grade: 110/110 cum laude e dignità di stampa.

2001-2005 BA in Lettere (Humanities), University of Turin. Title of the thesis: La perifrasi tue + infinito nel titsch di Gressoney (The tue + infinitive periphrasis in the German dialect of Gressoney). Advisor: Prof. Davide Ricca.   Grade: 110/110 cum laude.

 2009       (with Irene Ronga) «De la couleur du ciel en novembre»: une proposition d'étude de la terminologie chromatique allemande dans les composés avec -farbig /-farben («de la couleur de…»); paper  appeared on Primaires, issue 169, July 2009, pubblication of Centre Français de la Couleur.

2011       Il verbo fare a Gressoney. Caratteri e diffusione di forme verbali analitiche in un dialetto walser. Paper appeared in Alemannica-4. Il tedesco superiore, fourth collection of studies on Southern varieties of German.
